There is light possibly at the end of the tunnel with the ongoing and elongated problem with the VA disability back log.
As reported by Leo Shane III of Military Times, members of the Senate’s VA Backlog Working Group are pushing for a new bill to help reduce the number of disability claims down to zero.
The bill titled the 21st Century Veterans Benefits Delivery Act would provide better service for pending claims, offer more money to those who file "fully developed" claims and have stricter oversight of claims officials.
The VA has not given a position on the new proposed legislation but they stand firm on zeroing the backlog by the end of 2015.
